    • The foregoing discussions highlight several things. One, as it permeates our daily lives, ethics and moral philosophy have been thought out and debated throughout history with many theorists and philosophers contributing and enriching our understanding. Second, the various ways in which ethics had been conceived and argued also give way for us, as individuals, to assess and think for ourselves and develop our own, provided that we are guided by reason. Third, the complexity of the world and the problems we face necessitate a constant reflection and scrutiny of our own positions and choices in line with the ethical principles available at our disposal.

In your journey in the university, you will encounter several situations that would call on you to make moral judgments. In terms of your role as students, an important element we hope you would begin cultivating involves academic integrity. This will be the topic of the next module.
